A targeted mode of action

How does Xiapex work?

Xiapex contains collagenase clostridium histolyticum (CCH), which is produced by fermentation of the bacterium clostridium histolyticum. CCH is a proteinase that hydrolyses the triple-helix of collagen under physiological conditions, and therefore can be effective in lysing the collagen deposits seen in Peyronie’s disease. Xiapex acts locally and does not require systemic exposure.1-3
